1) Ticker symbol
From more than 10,000 stocks, including Preferred Stocks, REITs, CEFs, Royalty Trusts, Corporate Bonds and other securities which are traded on the US stock markets.
2) Cum-dividend date
All trades must be made on or before this day in order to be properly settled and shareholder list on record date will accurately reflect the current owners.
3) Ex-dividend dateEx-dividend date is set by the exchange where the stock is traded, several days (usually two) before the date of record, so that all trades made on previous dates can be properly settled and the shareholder list on the date of record will accurately reflect the current owners. Purchasers buying before the ex-dividend date will receive the dividend, even if they sell their stock after the ex-dividend date.
4) Dividend amount
There are two types of dividend, cash or stock. Cash dividends (most common) are those paid out in form of real cash, and an amount is displayed for the dollar. Stock dividends are those paid out in form of additional stock shares of the issuing corporation, or other corporation (e.g., its subsidiary corporation). Stock dividends are shown in proportion to shares owned.
5) Payment date
The payment date is the day when the dividend cheques will actually be mailed to the shareholders of a company or credited to brokerage accounts.
6) Frequency
Most of publicly traded companies pay quarterly dividends. Many CEFs and Royalty Trusts pay monthly distributions. Some pay semiannually and others annually.
7) Latest stock price
The latest stock price.
8) Dividend Yield
The dividend yield is the annual dividend (paid or estimated to be paid) per share divided by the price per share, and expressed as a percentage.
